To enable NetBIOS setting via the registry effort the following:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Organization\CurrentControlSet\Services\NetBT\Parameters\Interfaces

Look for the GUID of the specific interface and then:

"NetbiosOptions"=dword: 0 (To use DHCP settings)
"NetbiosOptions"=dword: ane (To enable NetBIOS over TCP/IP)
"NetbiosOptions"=dword: 2 (To disable NetBIOS over TCP/IP)

I am not a very experienced user. I fabricated it to "interfaces", but am unable to find the GUID of the Time Capsule I am trying to link to.

Hi, can you be more specific near how to use the HKEY information, for example where practice I enter this data to then change the registry and once there how to I change the registry?

OK I take figured out how to get the HKEY etc via redegit from the run prompt and institute the interfaces. How do I know which GUID refers to the time capsule there are a whole bunch...

I cannot connect to my Drome Disk since I upgraded to Windows 10.

The deejay is detected and I I go this bulletin

When I choose "connect", I become this message

I have checked and NetBIOS is enabled .

IT WAS RESOLVED FOR ME AFTER I DID THIS:)

Then, I was also having the same upshot when I stumbled upon a forum thread which stated the aforementioned event for a different product.

It asked the user to try and see if Network Discovery was enabled (under Command Panel\Network and Internet\Network and Sharing Middle\Avant-garde sharing settings), and for me, it was defaulted "Off". When I enabled it and tried to connect to my TC, the trouble was resolved and it had no problem connecting and viewing files in a few seconds.

Thank you for the update and apologies for tardily response.

I would request you to bank check the service TCP/IP NETBIOS Helper.

Printing Windows primal + R, type services.msc and click OK

Expect for the service TCP/IP NETBIOS Helper and ensure it is started

If information technology is already Started, Finish it and restart

Error 53

The most common symptom of a problem in NetBIOS name resolution is when the Ping utility returns an Error 53 message. The Error 53 message is generally returned when name resolution fails for a particular computer proper name. Fault 53 can too occur when there is a trouble establishing a NetBIOS session. To distinguish betweenthese ii cases, use the following procedure:

To determine the crusade of an Error 53 message

  1. From theFirst menu, open a command prompt.

  2. At the command prompt, type:
    net view \\<hostname >
    where <hostname > is a network resource y'all know is agile.
