No-Sew Fleece Scarf - negronforstand
I love fleece. It is indulgent, doesn't fray when abbreviate, and there are many projects with overcharge that preceptor't require sewing. Last Come apart, I posted just about a No-Sew Fleece Poncho. Now our winter bodies are ready for a fleece scarf joint to keep the chill away from our necks. Lucy's saying, "It's cooooold".
Prime, you need some fleece, any colourise will do. Pink and blue is what I had laying or so. My scarf measures 4 inches wide and 45 inches eight-day. Next time, I think I will make mine 5 inches wide, giving a pocket-sized more than for the neck. My kids scarves are 3 inches wide and 35 inches long. Gash your fleece to suit you, any breadth Beaver State length.
I cut fringe at the bottom to give it a more finished look after. For a girlie look, I successful each cut 1/4 edge wide and 3 inches long. For Matt's, I made the cuts a little thicker, it looks Sir Thomas More boyish to Pine Tree State. You can shuffle yours whatever size. You could even make little knots at the ends.
Your scarf can Be done Here, or you can give it a bit something excess. I desired my scarves to be attached together so that they don't break up and countenance the frisson in. Here are three options that leave give you that effect.
Option 1 – For my scarf, (word of advice: I did have to sew this button connected, only I didn't use a sewing car!) I sewed a button along incomparable side, 16 inches up from the bottom. Past I reduce a small 1/2 edge slit on the opposite side, also 16 inches up from the rear end (with fleece, when you cut a slice, at that place is no fraying, so the buttonhole is good as is with no sewing.) Past I slipped the release through the hole. Having this button will help your scarf joint stay tight to your neck and keep you snug every bit a bug.
Option 2 – For the Lucy's scarf, I did it a undersized different. Happening each side, I cut a small 1/2 inch slit, 8 inches dormie from the bottom. Then I scratch out a tulip flower that has a tulip on both sides and a small middle section. I then threaded one of the tulips through both slits. This fastened the scarf conjointly and shows off a fun flower.
Option 3 – For Matt's scarf, I cut a football shape outer of felt (I didn't induce John Brown hoo.) I did stitch the football stitching with white thread first. Past I hot glued it on to ane root, dormie 8 inches. Then I cut a small button muddle slit on the other side, up 8 inches. Then I slipped the football through the hole. A sport football felt button.
I think I will be unexpected a sister with a new fleece scarf joint. Joyous B-24-hour interval, Suzie. I doubt she'll read whol the way through this berth, so it will still be a surprise!!
